May 1999.  This picture was taken on the very first day that S:ROS was open to the general public. (May 15,1999) This is the first site of Superman you will see if you stay at the Lodge on the Lake.  A very impressive sight the first time you lay your eyes upon it. S:ROS is the first hyper/mega coaster we ever saw or rode.
