Tomb Raider:The Ride became the thirteenth roller coaster installation in 2004. Tomb Raider takes up residence right beside Top Gun and displaced two original 1981 rides Fury and Great Whale of China. Tomb Raider adds to the already wide range of different roller coaster types at Wonderland this one being Canada's first Flying Coaster. Riders lay down in a four across separate cars while being suspended from track overhead. Tomb Raider has a very unique hydraulic spiral lift tower rather than the traditional lift hill. Each rider lays on their stomach and is given an unobstructed view of the ride as you are hurled through swooping turns and tossed into two heartline inversions (inline-rolls). The following photo gallery is the first one that is exclusively taken with a digital camera. We think you will enjoy the results.
