October 1999. Wild Beast's first drop which slants to the left by 15 degrees when it nears the bottom. The first time we rode in 1996 we all swore that we could not see to the bottom of the first drop. Of course that has changed after hundreds of rides. The track work to left of the first drop was rebuilt for the 1999 season. The previous year the fan curve was completely re-hab'ed. This coaster is now even better than when it first opened in 1981.
