Other Facts (PCW Junkies Comments): |
| Wild Beast it is
not the tallest, not the fastest, but it is one of the PCW Junkies
favourite coasters of all time. Why? Quite simply Wild Beast is
responsible for creating this crazy coaster enthusiasm / obsession in the
Reid Family at the end of the 1996 season.
The first drop curves to the left by 15 degrees. The second drop creates unbelievable air time before it send you into the first of two head chopper effects. The fan curve (rebuilt 1998) hurls you back to the final turn around before you end you run with more air time then hold on because the brakes are going to come on to bring the train to a complete stop. Wild Beast debuted in 1981 (est. cost $800K) with three other roller coasters when Canada's Wonderland opened. Wild Beast along with Mighty Canadian Minebuster are both modeled after two famous Coney Island (Cincinnati) coasters Wildcat and The Shooting Star respectively. Wild Beast also has two sisters called Grizzly at Paramount's Great America and Paramount's Kings Dominion. The PCW Junkies are so lucky to have two world class woodies in our backyard. |
