Just got back from season pass night at PCW. Weather was great about +20c(quick F conversion 2x +30) and the crowd was pretty light. I hope the Toronto Maple leafs go far in the Hockey Playoffs and keep the crowds away from my Wonderland.
Kyle A, was correct in his location for the Fly, Mack Gamble Wild Mouse. For anybody familiar with PCW it is were the batting cages were. An excellent use of space by PCW. I know some people were not expecting much from this "lame ride" as they called it. I have a different opinion - It is much better than I expected. My wife, son and I waited about 25 minutes and were so close to getting our turn and it went out of service for about 15 minutes. Very comfy cars which sit 4 which accelerates you quickly up the lift chain. A very nice first drop, custom 50ft drop, and then back to the top for hairpin turns. You have to hold on our you feel you be thrown out of the car and tumble some 50 ft to the ground. We really liked this ride and the que line seems to move pretty quickly. The FLY is no Medusa or AC but, we will keep our fingers and toes crossed for 2000. PCW is already touting 2000 as their 20 season of operation. hmmmm maybe something big.
PCW like always was very clean and place looks great with all the fresh paint. Special mention to the "BAT", Vekoma boomerang, & "Vortex",Arrow suspended, looking very good in their fresh coats of paint.
Just two more weeks to SFDL & Superman the ride of steel.

Kevin Reid
