Stop in While enroute to Holiday World via PKI

First part of the day was spent at PKI -August 04, 2001

Arrived at a very busy SFKK parking lot around 6:00PM and surprisingly get excellent spots near the entrance. This is our third visit to SFKK but there are still a few coaster counts left for Adam and Nolan. We check Chang’s queue and decided to get something to eat first and check back later. We head to our favourite SFKK eating spot … you know the one with piss pots on the wall and shower curtains for stall doors.

After eats we went over to Twisted Sister and rode each side once. For some reason I thought that each side had two trains. Wrong! I have no idea where I got that idea. The park was really busy but there it was only a few minute wait for each ride. Twister Sister was running real well and we enjoyed our rides. We made our way over to Thunder Run which in our opinion is the best roller coaster in the park. The queue was just to full and with only a one train operation we did not want to wait.

Over to Chang which had about a queue and a half wait. The smoking in the queue was unbearable. This is were I wouldn’t mind some Nazi Smoking Security. Nolan depending on his footwear and the time of the day is exactly at 54". At the top the platform he was measured and okayed to ride. None of the Reid family other than me had ridded Chang or a standup B&M before. Adam accidentally hammered mom with his elbow in her eye while he was getting into the restraint. Donna was almost a walk off with her bump in the face but sucked it in and rode Chang with the family. John rode in the row behind us and admitted he was scared looking at Nolan in the restraint in front of him. Personally I like Chang but the other members of my riding team disagreed with me. They asked if this was really a B&M? Because they were expecting a smoother ride. Adam wanted T2 for the count but we all agreed that it was too long of a wait for a SLC.

It was around 8:30PM and we felt our day was done and should head out. We followed John out of the park and North up I-65 to I-64. We arrived at Santa Lodge just before 11:00PM EST or 10:00PM CST. Right to bed because we had a early busy day planned for Sunday.

Regards,
Kevin Reid
